As soon as I saw this picture, I burst out laughing! It combines two of my favourite actresses with elegant Dior and classic Jennifer Lawrence awkwardness- what’s not to love? This hysterical meeting between Emma Watson and Jennifer Lawrence was captured at the Dior Haute Couture Show in Paris and saw Jennifer face-palm Emma right in the face (you know as you do).
After the two gave us this moment to have a giggle at, they headed out on the Parisian town in some killer Dior outfits (which I actually prefer to the outfits that they wore to watch the Dior fashion show)…
I really love this outfit on Emma, liking the pairing of a block colour with a vibrant, bold print. I love the over-sized cut of the blouse also, with Emma’s up-do and bright red lip completing the look perfectly!
Jennifer represented Dior well as the face of the fashion power house, looking beautiful walking the streets of Paris in head to toe Dior. Jennifer wore this striking metallic embellished gown for the after party, pairing the look with some silver pointed heels and a wavy cropped bob!
Ohhh I just love this Jennifer Lawrence + Emma Watson combo! 🙂
Olivia Palermo is someone whose style I have admired ever since watching her in the MTV series The City, with the model and TV personalty having in my eyes the most flawless style. When news reports over the weekend speculated that Olivia was going to marry her longtime beau Johannes Huebl, I was beyond excited to see what Olivia would wear on her big day and trust me I wasn’t disappointed.
The socialite went for an alternative look on her wedding day, shunning the traditional wedding dress to style together three pieces from designer Carolina Herrera. Olivia looked beautiful in a cream cashmere jumper that she paired with a full tulle skirt and some crisp white shorts worn underneath. The skirt was incredibly feminine and full with floral embroidery and layers of satin and silk. A cute addition to the outfit were a pair of deep blue Manolo Blahniks, which the fashionable star wore as her ‘something blue’. Olivia’s new husband looked dapper too in a bespoke white Marc Anthony Hamburg suit.
Olivia’s take on wedding chic really incorporated her style into her big day and she pulled off her wedding look with such grace! Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Huebl! 🙂
Selena Gomez looked stunning last night at the American Ballet Theatre Opening Night Spring Gala in New York. The actress wore this beautiful Lanvin strapless dress from the fashion house’s Spring 2013 collection. There is nothing more classic than monochrome and I love how this dress is both elegant and dramatic in it’s white slit and bow design. Selena’s slicked back hair and dewy makeup made for the perfect finishing touches too!
All eyes were on Hollywood on Sunday night, with the 86th annual Academy Awards being held in Los Angeles. The night was full of everything that you would expect from the Oscars, with the film industry coming together to celebrate some of their greatest talent. Highlights from the awards include a celeb-filled selfie, another Jennifer Lawrence stumble and some great gags from host Ellen.
Lets get down to the important stuff now though-the fashion. The night saw some amazing looks take place on the red carpet and I’ve picked four of my favourite to share with you.
Lupita Nyong’o is fast becoming one of Hollywood’s leading actresses and having been on a complete style role this awards season, all eyes were on the actress on Sunday night. Lupita certainly didnot disappoint, walking the red carpet in this beautiful plunging Prada gown. The ice-blue tone of this gown is incredibly striking and I love how the look was accessorised with a Fred Leighton headband and jewellery. With Lupita winning her first Oscar on the night (well done girl), I have a feeling this outfit is going to become something of a classic!
I can never talk about an outfit worn by Emma Watson without being completely biased (as I’m slightly obsessed with her) but she again completed her run of great outfits with this metallic Vera Wang number. On first seeing the dress, I initially thought it wasn’t as formal as a dress for such an event should be but I think that’s what makes it so great- it’s subtlety. I really like the two toned metallic design of the dress and it’s high waistline gives the actress that desired hourglass silhouette.
Being the spokesperson for Dior there was only ever one designer that Jennifer was going to wear to the awards, with the actress picking this orange peplum gown. I love this outfit on Jennifer, with the actress being one of only a few to wear such a bright, vibrant colour on the night. The look was finished off with slicked-back hair and silver jewellery.
Jennifer Garner looked dazzling on the night in this fringed Oscar de la Renta gown. The look was very old-school Hollywood, with the actress accessorising her outfit with a simple clutch and wavy curls.
Overall there were some great red carpet looks on the night, with the Oscars providing us with our much needed fashion fix!
Selena Gomez, Victoria Justice, Candice Accola and Nina Dobrev are my top fashion picks from the Teen Choice Awards 2012 . The Teen Choice Awards is an outlet for celebrities to embrace summer fashion and these four outfits completely embody great summer styles! The bright colours, the flowy and cropped cut dresses paired with both wedges and strappy sandals, collectively make these outfits great!
My best fashion double act has to go to Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Kendall’s dress is very fun and flirty and the lace matched with the dark blue really completes this summer look! I really love the print on Kylie’s dress also, the colour and animal print is a great combo and the waist cut-outs give this dress an added edge!
No Doubt reunited last night and reminded us all how stylish they really can be! Gwen looks as phenomenal as ever, I really love her fitted all black outfit which has become somewhat of a uniform for her! What I think is really great about this band, is that they have dressed collectively, not just individually!
This look is perfect on Emma, the colour and fantastical print of the dress softens the edginess that the dress’s structure brings to the look. The cut of the dress also gives Emma’s quite boyish figure more of a curvy silhouette. I also love how her hair has grown into a sophisticated bob which frames her face nicely, for me this is my favourite look of the night.
Another Emma whose look was perfect on the night was that of Emma Stone. The black and cream tones running throughout the dress, clutch and shoes creates a truly classic feel to this outfit. The structured top on the dress gives the allusion of a defined waist and feminine silhouette. The up-do also allows all emphasis to be on the dress and the pink lip she is suiting gives this two toned outfit a splash of colour.
Elizabeth Banks wore this wonderful one piece on the night. This look is not something I would normally like to see at an award show at this time of the year, but Elizabeth pulls it off completely. The cut out sheer pieces on this all black outfit gives this jumpsuit a sexy, sophisticated feel. The pinned up hair and minimal make up completes this look.
