Good Morning guys,
I had the idea to start a new monthly series where I would share with you all my favourite things of the month. The first favourite will be a fashion/beauty item, the second will be my favourite song (some months this will alternate between my favourite book) and last but not least the third will be what has inspired me that month may it be a picture , a news story or a person!
Hope you will enjoy this new series 🙂 and let’s get started!
1. Favourite Fashion/Beauty Item
I’ve become a bit of a nail polish nut in the last month (I rarely ever used to wear it) and I’ve been loving this Teal colour by Barry M. The metallic finish on this polish makes it look great on and because it’s of a thicker consistency it doesn’t seem to chip as easily as all the other nail polishes I have!
2. Favourite Song
I’ve been a fan of YouTube band Boyce Avenue for a while now, and if your not aware of them I would definitely urge you to check them out! One of their most recent covers was of Katy Perry’s new single ‘Roar’ and although I like the original I have been listening much more to the Boyce Avenue cover. This cover features a singer called Bea Miller whose voice fits in beautifully with the Boyce Avenue boys to make for a truly amazing cover!
3. Inspiration of the Month
Having just graduated from University, this time in between graduation and employment has felt somewhat like a limbo land. On seeing this image, I realised that over the next few months this is the saying I’m going to have to live by. What makes it even more perfect is that I am the biggest tea drinker on the planet, what can I say it’s just so yummy!
Until next time my dears 🙂
A cover of a fashion magazine should really make an impact on you the first time you see it. On seeing the cover of the September issue of Vogue magazine, this is exactly how I felt. The outfit worn by model Daria Werbowy, made me so excited for autumn/winter fashion. I loved the autumnal colours featured on this cover, liking the pairing of a bright orange leather jacket with a soft blue and pink jumper. This outfit made me remember what it feels like to really bundle yourself up against the cold weather, making me excited for the colder months ahead!
Have a great weekend guys! 🙂
You guys are probably sick of my blatant adoration for Jessica Alba by now but I can’t help it, she’s literally a superwoman in my book! Every time she steps out her style is utterly effortless and the latest outfit she wore to the NYFW Ralph Lauren show is no exception. With her outfit consisting of a powder pink flowing skirt and a cropped black jumper, all eyes were on the actress as she made her way to the show! I love how unexpected the pairing of these two items is and with the addition of a sixties styled up-do and makeup to match, everything about this outfit just seems to fit!
Can this woman do no wrong? (The answers no, no she cannot 😉 )
Have a good weekend guys! 🙂
This satchel by ASOS is definitely a reinvention of the traditional Cambridge satchel. I really love its metallic gloss finish, it gives the bright pink colour an interesting variation in tone and most importantly makes it look so pretty! 😉 This bag would definitely brighten up those colder, autumn months!
Have a good day guys! 🙂
Just when I thought I couldn’t love Jennifer Lawrence any more, her latest campaign for Dior came out!
In these latest advertisements, Jennifer has gone for more of a fresh faced look, with it looking as though Jennifer has minimal or no make up on at all. I have to say I find it refreshing to see someone so brave as to show their face as it really is, there’s not many people who would want to rock such a natural look! I myself tend to wear just the basics when it comes to make up, so it’s nice to see someone not overly done!
Oh and the obsession continues… 😉
I am absolutely loving Mango’s newest Autumn/Winter collection, with the collection including both soft feminine items as well as more androgynous, grungy pieces. I really like how the styling of Mango’s campaign reflected this mix also, with Miranda Kerr being styled with flowing dresses paired with boots or brogues.
Some of my favourite items include:
A shopping trip to Mango just might be in order guys! 😉
